History and Present scenario of Khatik
The origin of khatiks
Because same Question I also had in my mind so I studied about it and no one can find a satisfactory answer about it therefore the best answer is that in India there is nothing pure now. No clan or no origin is pure, some people who are living in the areas which are out of approach and human reach, may be pure. Who have interest in history; they are well known that ancient India has ruled by many foreigners’ rulers. They did not bring women with them; Indian women were captured by them for the pupose. The best example is Maharani Jaudha who belongs to Rajpoot community, became the wife of Akbar The great. When Alexandra came in India; he also had gone after leaving his love story in India.
Approx. some years ago a report on Indian women was presented by the women commission of India, in which it was very clear that early marriage, dowry system and Parda system were not include in ancient Indian culture, it came with foreigners ruler because they did t respect to Indian women, being insecure people did start to marry their daughter in early age, they started to have girls covered, no one want to have a women in his house so people used money to make them for accepting their daughters which is called as dowry now.
A book Name “Bharat Ki Vyadh Jaatiya” Khatik, Paasi and Bhar has written by 1st Dalit as well As khatik IAS officer Mr. R D Sonkar. In which all the existing histories of khatiks are included wisely. He doesn’t blame anyone but after reading the existing history written by all, we are the able to understand, what our ancestors is writing, they are cutting one another’s facts. Theirs history must be called a baseless story only, in which given one fact don’t relate another fact.
Every writer is starting from our Ramayana and Mahabharata where our community is defined as the great Shudra (Untouchable tribe); in middle they write, we are the Kshatriya (Indo Arrian) and in the end they are trying to prove that we are Rajpoot (Indo Scythian). Some are trying to prove Dhankar (Proto Asian). proto Asian may be a truth.

Some are trying to prove Dhankar (Proto Asian). proto Asian may be a truth.
Some question I would like to have before you all with their answer-
1. Do you believe that khatiks are Kshatriya?
In two great Indian epics, Ramayana and Mahabharata very clear references are given about khatiks khagik, khadik, aakhetak, vyadh, bheel, etc, and these people are included as Shudra in these epics. And every history writer is starting from these epics. According to the Hindu great epics, only 21 times the Kshatriyas were killed by the Parshu Ram.
2. Do you believe that khatik are Rajpoot?
The history of Rajpoots is not so old. The Mahabharata and manusMarti both says in kalyuga, "......the Mlechha (barbaric) kings of the Shakas, Yavanas, Kambojas, Bahlikas, etc. shall rule the earth (i.e. India) un-righteously in Kaliyuga...”. [49] Some Indian and British history writers write Rajpoots are the foreigner and their origin is the indo Scythian clan.
The Rajputs (from the Sanskrit tatpurusha compound rājaputra, "son of a king") in fact caste and clan did not matter, who became a king was called as Rajputra.
3. Do you believe that khatik are the dhankar?
Dhankar says their origin is proto Asian clan (Dravidian and Naga clan) or they are the ancient Indian clan or Indian origin clan. But they have some castes in their list from indo Scythian clans. As I think for getting political advantages it is done by them.
The distributions of castes were on work based and no doubt when it was possible, every person had some animals in their home for the commercial purpose and for getting the milk food or meat. It does not mean that all the people belong to dhankar community. People who have pet animals and birds of any kind they call them “Dhan”. These animals and birds may be a goats, cows, pigs, deers, and hen, peacock, water hen etc.
4. Do you believe that Kshatriya or Rajpoots, who were the soldiers and human killers, were made to murders a goat by Brahmans for only a religious purpose?
I don’t believe because killing of animals was included in Hinduism that time. The Meghdoota a very famous play written by the great poet Kalidas, is translated by great writer Pandit Hazari Prasad Diwedi. In which it is written that a great worship called Mahayagya was done by the Brahman only after killing only 100000 cows. Same mahayagya was done by a Kshatriya king and he was also given death to 1 lakh cows. Then this mahayagya had been banned. And the water of river chambal is red because skins of 1 lakh cows were washed by this water. I remember I have heared many times about animal killing for worship in Hinduism. No need to think more, the festival of navratra is coming; people can join a musical worship to listen an ancient story TARA RANI KI KATHA, this worship known as jagraata or jagran. People, who have joined, are well known that for the same worship, one was able to use the meat of animals. After an incident included in said story of Satyawadi Raja Harsh Chandra’s time, Worship with meat was banned, and promotion for vegetarian and Vaishnav community became start. In fact people are doing worship after killing an animal as well as human till the date and they are Hindus.
5. Do you know about any son of a king and a freedom fighter from our caste?
No, I don’t know, even we don’t have a written history of our caste. As I know it was a hobby of the kings that they wished for their glory after their death and for the purpose they made people to write something about them.
I would like to share that Shaiv and Vaishnav both are Hindus community. Vaishnav are the followers of lord Vishnu and they are also following to Mata Vaishnav Devi. Shaiv are the follower of lord Shiva they are also the follower of Mata kali Devi. Who know deeply they are well known that Mata kali Devi and Parwati Devi who is the wife of lord Shiva, both are same.
Shadhu Naga Baba and Aughad belong to Shaiv community and they use meat and whisky both as their food. A T.V. show on Naga Baba and Aughad came on zee news where some secret about them were shown. Some Naga and Aughad admitted that they eat meat from human dead body and when they desire to sex, they do it with a dead body. Shaiv community is older than Vaishnav community. And followers of Shaiv community are known and called as real and pure Hindu. Religious Hindu guru Shankracharya can’t speak against Naga baba's and Aughad.
Differences between Shaiv and Vaishnav are Shaiv are original ancient and natural as written for a natural human by some science based researcher. Vaishnav are the moderated, educated and unnatural as life became developed same human became clever. Shaiv community the followers of lord Shiva, I would like to tell you a fact, it is taken according to the great epics of Hindus. Rakshas king the great scholar Rawan was a Brahman and he was the follower of lord Shiva, other people who were called as Rakshas and devils as well as Naga and Dravidian were the followers of lord Shiva.
Who is the lord Shiva?
What is the shivlinga?
Where the paatal lok is situated?
The virtual image of lord Shiva is enough to tell about them that he is a person who looks like wild man, sit on the skin of a tiger, use the skin of a deer as their cloth, have crown of his hair and the moon on his head, holy Ganga comes from his head. He looks like a hunter or khatiks khagik, khadik, aakhetak, vyadh, bheel, etc or Naga baba. All the nature is included in lord Shiva, when angry natural disaster becomes comes.
Pataal and mountain, jungles were the area of people of Naga clan or Dravidian clan people and same people were called as black devil or Rakshas. Paatal is the bottom of India. Naga is the ancient Indian clan, lord Shiva is the symbol Of Naga clan.
Pandava destroyed the Naga kingdom for making Indraprastha and when Pandava were on van was, they used diplomacy to protect them, the Bheem did marry with Naga girl name Hidimbha and their son is known as Ghatotkacha.
For getting the monarchy indo Scythian yawan and maleecha shaka, huna, kushana kath and gujar all foreigners also used Naga clan for fight. They became Rajputra and declared them as Kshatriya but they never admitted Naga clan as Rajputra.
It is written by many foreigner British history writer and khatik writers that khatik belong to Naga clan. Naga Dravidian Asur Rakshas are the ancient origin castes of India and Aryaian came after them. The mother of Pandava kunti was a Naga Kenya. Chandragupta maurya and the great Ashok was the Naga king and were 100 times better than Rajputra.
Although it may be admit that khatiks belong to Naga clan or Naga origin or proto Asian clan but I do agree with Baba sahib Dr. B R Ambedkar s views that nothing is pure in India.

A great number of people in the world are non vegetarian and non vegetarian is the food which has been eaten the most in the world.
Being a khatik why we should think negative about our caste, we are thinking negative so we are getting negative. Now we must think being positive for getting positive result.
In fact no need to know what is our origin, it is only to know, how we can uplift our caste? How we can be a union to write a history of our caste?
Introduction
Khatik word is derived from the Sanskrit language word Khat. In English Khatik means "butcher". In ancient times the main profession of Khatik Caste was to slaughter and prepare sheep and goats. Later there occupation was tanning the skin and selling the hairs of sheep in the market and export the same to western countries for using the same as wig. And also to sell the meat of goat as a butcher. Nowadays people of Khatik Caste are selling vegetables and do the business as scrap dealers. Most of the people are street vendor collecting waste paper, scrap and plastic on the bicycle. There are some doctors, engineers, teachers and advocate, management and administrative staff. for knowing more click on people.
Where are they located?
In India, there are located mainly in New Delhi, Haryana , Rajasthan, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Uttarnchal. West Bangol and Udisa with their many surnames and sub castes.
What are their lives like?
Found throughout India, the Khatik community began as hunters and butchers, though some claim warrior caste origin. Because they once handled carcasses, they are among the lowest in the Hindu social system. Some castes will not eat or drink with them. Today, most are in animal husbandry, agriculture, service industries, and government agencies. Clan leaders and law vary, but are always controlling factors in maintaining social cohesion and discipline. Their marriages are endogamous. Most speak Hindi, but many speak regional languages, often with Hindi as a second language. Because they value education, about 50 percent of their populace is literate. Literacy rates are higher among men than among women.
They live in small houses, usually on the outskirts of the villages or towns. Early Khatiks were hard working and honest people.
What are their beliefs?
They are superstitious, devotee of Goddess Durga, Parvati, Ganesh, Hanuman, Shiv Shankar, Sai, kabir and lord Buddha. Their cultural and religious history suggests they are open to change. Professional ties can cross religious, clan, and caste barriers. Although the majorities are Hindus, some are Sikhs or Muslims. Some converted away from Hinduism to avoid caste discrimination. Whether Hindus, Sikhs or Muslims, their practices are often tinged with Animism.
Khatiks have 816 surnames in india.
